Open Source Licenses
This page is provided pursuant to Article 21 (Open Source License Notice) of the Terms of Service. This service incorporates the following open source software components. Each component is used in compliance with its respective license terms.
FFmpeg
Enchant includes FFmpeg 8.1.1 (the libavcodec, libavformat, libavutil, libavdevice, libavfilter, libswscale and libswresample libraries and the ffmpeg and ffprobe programs), Copyright © the FFmpeg developers. FFmpeg 8.1.1, LGPL-2.1-or-later, built without GPL/nonfree components; source and build scripts: https://aienchant.com/oss/ffmpeg/8.1.1/. The license text is available at gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/lgpl-2.1.
That folder holds the unmodified FFmpeg release we build from, and for each shipped build its exact configure line, build script, build record, the checksums of the resulting files and the sources of the libraries compiled into it. We do not modify FFmpeg. You may replace the FFmpeg libraries in your installation with your own or a modified build; the README in each build folder explains how.
The FFmpeg libraries compiled into the Windows build: dav1d (BSD 2-Clause License, Copyright © VideoLAN and dav1d authors), zlib (zlib License, Copyright © Jean-loup Gailly and Mark Adler), nv-codec-headers (MIT License, Copyright © NVIDIA Corporation) and the AMD AMF headers (MIT License, Copyright © Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.). The Windows build is compiled with llvm-mingw and contains parts of the mingw-w64 runtime, whose license notice is included in the same folder.
The Windows video engine also contains OpenCV's FFmpeg video I/O plugin (opencv_videoio_ffmpeg), shipped unmodified as distributed by the OpenCV project. It includes FFmpeg 4.4.4, LGPL-2.1-or-later; source and the plugin's build scripts: https://aienchant.com/oss/ffmpeg/4.4.4/. The plugin also contains libvpx (BSD 3-Clause License, Copyright © the WebM project authors), libaom (BSD 2-Clause License and the Alliance for Open Media Patent License 1.0, Copyright © the Alliance for Open Media) and the OpenH264 API headers (BSD 2-Clause License, Copyright © Cisco Systems, Inc.) for a loader that uses Cisco's OpenH264 library only if you install it separately; Enchant does not ship that library.
