FFmpeg 8.1.1 — source code for Enchant

Enchant uses the FFmpeg libraries under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later (COPYING.LGPLv2.1). They are dynamically linked and unmodified. This page holds everything needed to rebuild exactly the FFmpeg we ship, for every platform, and to replace it in your copy of Enchant.

Your build-id is shown in Enchant under Settings › Open-source licenses › FFmpeg. Every build-id ever shipped stays here.

Configure line, build script, binary checksums and rebuild steps for every Windows build: win64/ (its own SHA256SUMS and LATEST).

Replacing FFmpeg in Enchant

Build FFmpeg from the tarball above (each platform's README.txt gives the exact steps), or use any compatible FFmpeg 8.1.1 build, and put its libraries in place of ours: on macOS in Enchant.app/Contents/Frameworks/ followed by codesign --force --deep --sign - Enchant.app; on Windows in the installation directory.
